Paid Time Off and Leaves
Benefited EES employees earn various types of paid time off and leaves. Paid time off and leave days are calculated for all employees in a uniform manner. Each employee's paid time is calculated by dividing the employees total regularly contracted weekly work hours by 5 (37.5 hrs per week / 5 = 7.5 hrs per day used for paid time off or leave time). Vacation, sick, personal, and floating holidays may not be used during the introductory/probationary period unless requested and approved by the Executive Director.
Temporary positions/employees are not considered benefited even if they work more than 20 hours per week. Temporary positions/employees usually only have a commitment to work 6 or less months.
- Holidays - Full year, benefited employees are entitled to 10 EES designated paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays which are of the employees choosing. School year, benefited employees are entitled to 9 designated paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday.

All employees working less than full year are pro-rated accordingly. Vacation leave may not be used during the employee's introductory/probationary period.
